After reading about a recent Second Circuit oral argument, I went looking for a recording. It was rather surprising to realize the 2d Circuit still does not provide recordings of oral arguments before the court. So, I spent 2 minutes to look for sources on which courts do provide recordings. Moot Points, a blog on appellate practice, provides a list of resources for recordings of arguments on appeals in federal and state courts.
On looking at the list, it becomes plain the Second Circuit is an outlier in failing/refusing to provide recordings of its oral arguments. A key question is: why?
